Every commission follows the same path, whether it is a Signature or a Monumental work. We keep it simple on your side — a conversation, a swab, and then the studio takes over. Below is what happens at each stage, and what it looks like behind the scenes.
01 — The Consultation
We Discover the Story
It starts with a conversation with our Director of Client Experience. Who is the piece for? Where will it live? Which of our themes — Motion, Nature, Elements, Anatomy — speaks to you, and in which palette? We talk through subject, size, and the story you want the work to carry.
You leave with a clear plan and a personal quote. Nothing is painted until you are certain.
02 — Your Signature
A Simple Cheek Swab
We send a discreet collection kit to your door. A cheek swab takes seconds — no blood, no clinic visit — and returns to us in the sealed vial provided.
Sample processing and handling is physician-supervised. Your sample is imaged, then destroyed; nothing is sequenced and nothing is retained. Read exactly how we handle it.
03 — The Interpretation
From Micrograph to Composition
Under the microscope, your cells reveal patterns no one else carries — lattices, fibres, branching lines. We print the strongest micrographs and work them on the light table: tracing structures, testing pigments, deciding what becomes the bones of the composition.
This is where science hands the work to the artist. Your sample sets the foundation; the painting grows from it.
04 — The Masterpiece
Painted by Hand
A real artist builds the work in layers — heavy impasto, mixed media, and for Monumental commissions, 24k gold. Every mark is placed by hand; the surface is meant to be seen up close.
When it is finished, it is float-framed in black, photographed for your records, crated, and delivered to your door.

Can I create a piece for a loved one or a pet?
Yes. Many pieces are legacy and memorial works honoring someone meaningful — immortalized loved ones, with their own bio print embodied in the canvas — and we also create art for beloved pets.
Is each piece truly unique?
Commissioned works are one-of-one, driven entirely by your own cellular structure and painted by hand. Collection works are produced as museum-grade framed canvases of the painted originals.
