Lichen is the first thing to take hold on bare rock — a slow crust spreading across stone that nothing else will claim. Seen closely, the thallus reads as terrain: craters, maria, a surface mapped by something patient. The first colonist of dead ground, rendered as the dead ground itself.

Float framed canvas. The canvas is stretched over premium 38mm bars and set inside a black frame with a shadow gap, so the work sits as an object rather than under glass.
