Fire IV

Fire IV rises in a single feathered plume of ochre and gold against a dark field, a footprint pressed into the ash beside it. Mitochondria power every step a body takes, and here the flame and the trace it leaves are drawn together: energy, and the evidence of energy spent.

Structure: mitochondria

Float framed canvas. The canvas is stretched over premium 38mm bars and set inside a black frame with a shadow gap, so the work sits as an object rather than under glass.

Printed on 400gsm textured artist-grade cotton canvas, 12-colour giclée.
