Blue in an iris is not pigment but structure—light scattered through a thin stroma, with rust-coloured melanin gathering where the fibres thicken. Iris Blue Rust holds that meeting: cool scattered light and warm deposit, a single eye drawn as weather over a landscape.
Structure: iris stroma
Float framed canvas. The canvas is stretched over premium 38mm bars and set inside a black frame with a shadow gap, so the work sits as an object rather than under glass.
Printed on 400gsm textured artist-grade cotton canvas, 12-colour giclée.
