Description
Muscles II is drawn in cross-section, the fibres opening like a landscape seen from above. Sarcomeres run through every one of them in perfect register—bands of protein aligned across the whole tissue—and the canvas holds that order as terrain of red, gold and bone.
Structure: sarcomeres
Float framed canvas. The canvas is stretched over premium 38mm bars and set inside a black frame with a shadow gap, so the work sits as an object rather than under glass.
Printed on 400gsm textured artist-grade cotton canvas, 12-colour giclée.
Frame: black, solid moulding. Edges: black wrap.
